Lustre continues our pre-contest “tour” with our friends and chorus Capital Accord! Their annual Spring Benefit Concert is a chance for their chorus and many competing quartets to have a chance to show off their stuff prior to competing.

About We Care and Friends: We Care and Friends, under the direction of Larry Griffin, is dedicated to supporting the building blocks to create strong families and communities in areas affected by drugs, poverty and crime in Annapolis & Anne Arundel County. Their School on the Water program provides
AA Co. children 7 to 15 years old who are at risk of failure in school or socially with learning, mentoring and fun experiences on the waters of Chesapeake Bay. Through their experiences, students learn respect for themselves & others, making them better citizens, family members & students; learn about boating & water safety; become familiar with the Bay & other local waters; become more connected to & better stewards of their environment; improve their social, behavioral and academic skills through mentoring & tutoring; expand their education with field trips beyond their communities. Well here we are 3 weeks away from contest and we have begun our pre-contest “tour”! Each year as we prepare to compete Lustre tries to get in some extra performances to help solidify our set. This year is no exception.
Our “tour” consists of the following:

* Friday April 8th – CCBC Barn Theatre
* Sunday April 10th – Chesapeake Harmony Chorus Friends and Family Dress Rehearsal
* Tuesday April 12th – Arundelairs Chorus Friends and Family Dress Rehearsal
* Sunday April 17th – Capital Accord Chorus Friends and Family Dress Rehearsal
* Wednesday April 20th – HCMC Friends and Family Dress Rehearsal
* Thursday April 21st – Dundalk Chorus Rehearsal
* Monday April 25th – Heart of Maryland Chorus Friends and Family Dress Rehearsal
